VILNIAUS TRANZITAS provides “A” type customs warehouse services in Vilnius. It is permitted to store goods that are produced outside of the EU in the open warehouses without applying import customs taxes and fees and without application of economical prohibitions and restrictions. These kind of goods can be stored at the customs warehouse by all natural and legal persons and organizations from the Republic of Lithuania, European Union and other countries.
Using customs warehouses (sometimes also known as excise warehouses) is both a useful short-term investment and a long-term financial project. The economic and geographic situation of Lithuania makes it a convenient place for trade with countries outside of EU. Lithuania has a common border with two non-EU states and sees lots of trade happening with these countries. Usually various taxes and duties need to be paid in order to export goods to the third countries and legally import them to these countries.
